He is the biggest disgrace to our country with his bowing and his double talk and kissing everbody elses a$$, instead of doing something about the economy and the illegals coming here and taking money from our wellfare system and taking jobs from us. I sure hope he dosen't get in again.

Does anyone know if there are any good contenders for the Republican candidates? I voted for President Obama in 2008 but I don't think he's done a good job so far. I know he got dealt a rough hand (the recession had already started before he took office, remember) but he seems to have focused on the wrong things. Healthcare reform, for instance, is certainly a worthy goal but I don't agree with the way it appears to have been implemented.

The stimulus package turned out to be nothing much more than extended unemployment benefits and propping up of state and local governments who were running out of funds. We had a great shot at doing something really meaningful (rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, or doing something truly effective to stimulate real job creation) but we blew it by spending to soften the landing for people who were going to be landing anyway.

But in the absence of a real alternative candidate, and with the economy rebounding, I'd think he's got a good chance of getting re-elected. The only way that's not going to happen is if a REAL leader steps up. I don't think Sarah Palin is that leader.

Are there any governors out there that look promising? That guy from New Jersey seems like the kind of tell-it-straight person we really need.

At this point, I think it's still to early to tell. Remember how he came out of nowhere. "Like a thief in the night" Laughing Wink
Sarah Palin scares me, I wouldn't vote for her...but again- hit it? i would!

I have to agree with JC. That Jersey Governor Chris Christie seems to not take any crap and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Question

there is still a lot to be learned about gov. christie. he's a fiscal conservative yes, but way squishy on other conservative preferences, & he was overly vague on his position on the 2nd amendment. all he would say is that there are too many guns on the streets.

he'll not have my support.
